Luminess, sponsor of the Label Emmaüs boat during the Transat Jacques Vabre 2023

Paris, on 18-11-2022 - Luminess is proud to sail for solidarity, by sponsoring the Label Emmaüs boat and its two skippers Damien Jenner and Jérôme Lesieur during the Transat Jacques Vabre 2023. This mythical race will leave Le Havre in a year to reach Martinique.

Two skippers with common values who initiated this project after completing the Transquadra in 2022 solo. Arriving two hours apart on similar boats, they decided to start the Transat Jacques Vabre together in 2023. The starting point for this solidarity project made possible thanks to their partners, Label Emmaüs and the Luminess Group.

This sponsorship project was born of a natural rapprochement between Luminess and Label Emmaüs. This major digital player in France is particularly sensitive to the cause supported by the solidarity cooperative and its endowment fund. Promoting access to training in digital professions for people excluded from common law funding schemes and promoting their professional integration is part of the group's values. Issues that the French ETI already carries within the framework of its HR policy and which convinced it to participate in this adventure.

Common values also shared by the two skippers.

Trust, audacity, responsibility and excellence, the four strong values of the Luminess Group have made the partnership with these two men evident, driven by their passion and taste for challenge. Today, Luminess is proud to be able to support them in this new major challenge and allow them to carry out their project, sailing for solidarity.

This tripartite project will allow our two skippers to contribute to the financing of the digital professions training scholarship project, launched by the Label Emmaüs endowment fund. A strong commitment for the Luminess Group, a major digital leader in France, whose access to training and integration are an integral part of its CSR strategy.

Driven by a family passion, Damien Jenner, 46, has been sailing from an early age at the highest national level, until his professional life slowed down the demanding competition calendar. However, he continued to race and even won a fine 10th place in a solo transatlantic race in 2019. Today a business manager, Damien continues the adventure and commitment by wearing the colors of Label Emmaüs sur mer in 2023 .
